Matthew 14:29
29 He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.
In this passage of scripture we see what faith in action really looks like. Jesus lived at such a level of faith that walking on water was normal for him. Perspective is the difference in success or failure or whether we sink or swim. Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will have good success.
First ,seeing faith demonstrated in our lives will impact others whether you know it or not. What you believe impacts others. If Peter never saw Jesus walk on water and invite him to do the same he would have spent his life on the boat rather than on water where he belonged. Many of us settle for the boat because it’s comfortable. However, the most comfortable place is not always the safest place. When there is a tornado the safest place is not in a lazy boy in front of a window or lying in the bed but it’s in a small closet or under a table.
In life we must learn that it’s the most uncomfortable, uncommon places that we have a true experience with God. We must learn that if God is in it it’s ok to come or get out the boat regardless of the odds and the opinions of man. So as we grow from faith to faith and glory to glory walking on water must become our new normal. God has called us to exceed what we can think or imagine in your life but it won’t happen on the boat but on water.
The boat can represent your religion, traditions, your current circle of friends, opinions, and anything else that stunts your growth and progress in life. It was not until Jesus walked on water and rescued Peter that the disciples believed he was the Son of God. The same principles are true for us it is not until people see us get off the boat and see our works that they believe in who we are and our God.
Let’s get off the boat today and practice a life of walking on water and producing fruit for the kingdom of God. Remember, whatever you do in life if you are going towards Jesus it’s the right thing to do. So what are you waiting on? Jesus is waiting for you so come.
Let’s live abundantly!

Yessss! Stepping out of our comfort zone isn’t always easy, but it is so worth it! Even if we don’t see the immediate benefit, we can’t tuck our tails & run back, but we must keep moving toward Jesus & the reward is inevitable!
