ROMANS 5:8-9
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
When I gave my life to God one of the hardest things to get used to was God’s love for me. I was used to the conditional love of man and not the unconditional love that God has for all of us. Sometimes I just sit down and think about it and it still blows my mind.
Just the other day I was video editing and made a huge mistake that would have caused me to lose all my work. However, there was an undo button in the software that I could click and everything went back to how it was before my mistake. You may be saying, so what is your point?
Well, this explains to us what happens at salvation. Even though we all have made mistakes in life Jesus died for us or hit the undo button so we could be reconciled back to God just as if sin never happened like he originally planned it. This is so wonderful because people will love you when you are up, doing what they want you to do, and have money in your pocket. However, those same people will kick you when you are down and leave you for dead.
I am glad today that I have a friend in Jesus that sticks closer than a brother and will cover and wipe away my mistakes. I am so thankful for GRACE, the undo button, that Jesus clicked for me. So if you are overwhelmed with guilt and condemnation today let it go because God has given you an undo button and brand new mercies to get back up again and live victorious in him. HE LOVES YOU!!!!
Let’s live abundantly!
