Lorenzo January is a Webcast Producer, media consultant, life coach, and ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He was born and raised in Flint, MI and later moved to Mississippi at the age of 14 where he completed secondary school.  He received his Bachelors Degree in Radio, Television, and Film with a minor in Sociology at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS in 1995. Before beginning his career in media he worked in elementary education working with 3rd graders for 3 years as a classroom assistant, tutor, and in-school disciplinarian alongside the principal.  Mr. January started his media career in 1998 at a local CBS station working as a Broadcast Technician on the morning and afternoon news crews.  He later continued his career at PBS, Government Television, and Educational Television as a Producer, Director, Production Assistant and a host of other responsibilities at various media outlets.  He also owned and operated Judah Productions for 6 years until relocating to the Washington, D.C. area where he has worked as a Media Production Manager at his local church.  In addition to his career in media, Mr. January has also earned his M.B.A degree in 2008 from Kaplan University [now known as Purdue Univeristy Global] and in 2013 earned his M.B.S. degree from Virginia Christian College.  In addition to his media career, Mr. January was licensed to preach at Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson, MS in 1993 and ordained in 1998 as a minister of the gospel at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS. Recently, God has called him to Zion Church in Greenbelt, MD where he serves as a licensed minister.  He has served the local church in many capacities, such as Associate Pastor, music ministry, youth ministry, singles ministry, media ministry, intercessory prayer ministry, drama ministry and many others.  Empowered 2 Live ministry focuses on sound biblical teaching, worship, prophecy, and discipleship in order to transcend lives into the purpose of God for their life.  His goal is to use media, life coaching, motivational speaking and the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ to help others walk in the calling of God on their lives purposefully and effectively. His passion is to see others empowered 2 live life on purpose and not just merely exist. Lorenzo is the husband of Coliena January and father 5 wonderful children and currently reside in Silver Spring, MD.
