Romans 8:36-38
36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
The notion of surviving has always seemed better than not making it. Surviving has been something that is even celebrated in life and admired. People are respected for tenacity and the ability not to give up in difficult times. I shared the same sentiment until God revealed to me that I was not designed to just survive but I was really made to conquer. Survival is just option B.
I’m talking about this because I believe that life can throw so many things at us that we sometimes get comfortable just making it from day to day and forget that that’s really not the lifestyle God has called us to. Jesus did not call us to just make it. He has called us to win and conquer on purpose. Remember, in most sports it is whoever scores the most points that win the game. You can’t just live life defensively and not put any points on the board or you will find yourself on the losing end often in life.
Let’s make a decision to take dominion over our lives and walk in the authority God has given us so we can make life count and not just be satisfied being on the field. Remember, Jesus didn’t die so we could be defeated but he died to make us winners.
LET’S LIVE LIFE ABUNDANTLY,
LORENZO JANUARY
