For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

This fast paced society we live in can easily shape the trajectory of our lives if we don’t stay focused on what’s important in our lives.  Careers, finances, the media, and many other things can literally take over if we don’t understand that we have plans for our lives but God does also.

I don’t know about you but the fact that the true and living God has plans for little old me blows my mind.  David even said God who am I that you are mindful of me. The fact that I’m on his mind is comforting because he is not only for me but with me even when it doesn’t seem like it.

It seems like our mom and dad were our enemies when they gave us boundaries, spanked us, made us clean our rooms when we had other plans. However it turns out they knew some things we didn’t know and wanted our final outcome to be great. So in order to see that greatness come to pass our parents knew it takes preparation and repetition to be great. We’ll guess what? God is the same!!

Whatever you are facing right now is preparation for your final outcome. What we must understand is that our final outcome is what God expected in the beginning.  That’s why no matter how frustrated, angry, sad and confused you get and cry out to God to change it God only responds to your final outcome and not your current circumstance.

So next time you want to give up know it’s not only you that you’re letting down if you give up but you’re letting God down because he has plans for you. Your life has a purpose that’s bigger than you.  Live it by faith and enjoy God’s plans for your life.
