²⁷ But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

From day to day many of us live with expectations, hopes, and dreams.  However, how many of us actually see them become a  reality.  The fact is no matter what race, gender, social or financial status we are we get disappointed and angry when our expectations don’t match our reality.  As a matter of fact, while I write this blog someone has decided to give up on life because their reality doesn’t match their expectations and you’ve said “I can’t take no more!!!”

I not an artist but early in school they taught me colors and how you can mix colors to make other colors.  The idea is you have to mix the right amount of the colors to make another color.  Another thing is depending on what shade of a color you want you may have to put more of one color in it to get the desired color or expectation.  As I said I’m no artist but stay with me.

For example, say you want the color purple.  They taught me in order to make the basic color purple I must mix blue and yellow and it will make purple and it gets a little more complicated when you get into the shades of purple but lets keep it simple for now.  The expectation is I want to create the color purple.  The fact is if you mix blue and yellow you get purple.  This sounds simple when it come to color but what about life.  How do I just know the formula to solve  every problem I face each day.  I know its a little harder to do but the principle is the same.

The scripture says with MEN=IMPOSSIBLE and GOD=POSSIBLE or lets say this, GOD + MEN=POSSIBLE.  God is not exempting us from responsibility but is only saying us alone will not get it done.  We have to add God in everything in our lives in order for our expectations to become a reality.  The bible says we can do all things through Christ.  If I really want purple I can’t do it without adding blue and yellow together.  Blue or yellow alone won’t meet my expectation of getting purple.  Neither will life without God meet your expectation if you expect a healthy and prosperous life.  Notice I didn’t say church or religion but God.   Church or religion is not a substitute for God or his principles and core values.  If we truly want a successful Godly life we must add God to the equation or it won’t be possible. God is the key ingredient.

I believe this is the core cause of our disappointments, anger, and rage.  We feel life has shortchanged us when we haven’t used the formula God gave to us to make our expectation a reality.  So no matter what you are facing today allow God in it and what was impossible becomes possible.  Your life is not over, but, this is the beginning of the best days of your life.  As the songwriter said.  “When God is in it, there is no LIMIT!”  Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself IT’S POSSIBLE!!! IT’S POSSIBLE!!!
