Hebrews 12:1-3 (The Message Bible)

^1-3 Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

How many of you have ever made a phone call and tried to hear what the other person was saying but there was so much noise in the background that you couldn’t hear what they was saying?  It even got so bad that you could hear the background clearer than the person you called to talk to and needed to hear. It can get very frustrating and hinder progress because of your inability to hear the voice on the other end.

Well, that’s what the enemy Satan  tries to do  to us daily.  He wants our lives full of noise and weight so we cannot live the life that God has called us to.  He frustrates you at home, on the job, at church until the noise overrides what God is saying about your situation. You find yourselves bitter, angry and stuck and don’t know why.  Well, God is saying CUT DOWN THE NOISE and start running the race you have been called to win.

When you are running a race you must have the ability to hear the person say get on your mark, get set, go or you will stay still while others have taken off.  So hearing effectively is the beginning of running a successful race. So make sure you are running the right race and you can hear God say get ready, set, go so you are on your way to destiny.  I challenge you to not let the noise of life keep you from hearing Gods voice neither the weight of sin and excess baggage inside you keep you from running this race.  Know that no matter what your life looks like right now God started a work in you and he will finish it.  Shake it off and cut it down until you see the promise of God manifested in your life!
