TITUS 3:1
REMIND PEOPLE to be submissive to [their] magistrates and authorities, to be obedient, to be prepared and willing to do any upright and honorable work,
In a day where submission is a terrible word and not prevalent in a broken society built with no trust we see the bible encourages or better yet commands us to be submissive to those in authority over us.
Well first we must know that there is no submission without conflict so while we complain about where we are is where we are worse than where we should or could be?
During a storm It may be uncomfortable to seek shelter under a table or in a small closet but it’s safer and better than being outside in the middle of the tornado. Therefore, because we recognize the consequences of leaving a safe place we submit to not coming out the closet or leaving from under the table until the conflict passes over.
In life we may have been broken, disappointed but we can’t allow past pain or present discomfort keep you from the present blessing that comes through submission. In the kingdom of God the more we submit the more power and authority God can give us. God will never give out power to an unsubmitted individual because it will produce death rather than give life.
Others will laugh at you because you tapped out but when it comes to God we need to tap out because when we realize our victory is not because of us but because of him we will stop fighting worthless fights that God didn’t call us to just because our pride won’t let us submit to authority.
I challenge you next time conflict arises in your marraige, job, family, or whatever it may be, and you want to fight try submitting to God and look at what happens. I am not saying that there is not a time to fight but submission is a powerful secret weapon God has given us to defeat the enemy. For those that life has become one big fight try SUBMISSION and see God manifest himself in your life like never before.
Let’s live abundantly,
LORENZO JANUARY
