Galatians 5:1

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

In this passage of scripture Apostle Paul encourages us to stand fast in the liberty that Christ has given us.  Well, the first thing this tells me is that no matter how weak I may feel I am or how impossible the situation may be I have the ability to stand.  Trust me, God is intelligent enough not to order or request something from us that we don’t have the ability to do or give him. If God requires it from us it is possible.  So no matter how unholy society may be he says be holy, no matter how sick you feel he says be healed, no matter how broke you may be he says be rich (or prosperous) because all things are possible with him. So the issue is not whether we have the victory but will we accept it and walk in it.

As Paul continues he gives us the result of not standing fast in the liberty God has given us.  He tells us not to be entangled or tangled up in the yoke of bondage which is not what God desires for us. God clearly states he wants the former, which is liberty, versus the later which is bondage.  So you may be saying tell me what do I do?  Well, I wish I had an elaborate answer but the answer is STAND.  You may have fallen or failed and trying to fix it by yourself but the scripture doesn’t require us to fix it but only requires us to STAND.  Allow your faith to empower you to stand and God will do the rest. There is power in a STAND!

God does not want us entangled or tangled up in the things of this world and the bondage that Satan so desperately wants to hold us captive to. Religion holds us captive because it tells us what we can and cannot do and puts us under the pressure to save ourselves.  However, a relationship with God doesn’t tangle you up but it gives you the grace and the strength to live a free life with healthy boundaries so we can prosper and be in good health.

You may be tangled up in depression, oppression, poverty, sickness,  and many more of the tricks and bondage of Satan.  However, God has given you the power to stand up and free yourself.  Point at yourself and say STAND UP!  As I end this blog I pray that every bondage that Satan has you tangled up in will be destroyed now.  I pray every chain and every curse in you life is broken, every sickness is gone from your body, and your mind and soul is healthy in Jesus name!  You are no longer tangled up but you are free.  It’s a new day and God wants to bless your life today!
